More than one in ten Americans have “done the business” at their business, according to a new survey.

A new study of 2,000 people found that 14 percent of those polled have actually had sex at their place of work.

And these risky respondents don't always get away with it- of those who’ve had sex at work, one in five have been caught in the act (19 percent).

The new survey, conducted by sex toy store EdenFantasys, looked at when the lines of work on romance interlink and found that, while some have done the deed at their place of work,  as many as 44 percent of Americans have had a full-fledged workplace romance.

Crushing on coworkers is complicated, and it’s often a bad idea, but the results of the study unveiled many positives.

An office romance can be great for company morale, as 92 percent of those who’ve had an workplace romance reported that it made them more excited to come into work.

It can also be great for business, with over half of those who’ve had an office romance saying it actually made them more productive at work.

But just because you have a workplace romance, doesn’t necessarily mean you should broadcast it to the rest of the office. 70 percent of those in a workplace romance said they hid their fling and kept it on the downlow at work.
And it’s especially a good idea to keep it on the downlow when your workplace romance is your boss, because according to the results, one in ten Americans have actually had sex with their boss.
And cheekily, 34 percent of those who’ve gotten busy with their boss have done it to gain favor and climb the ladder at work.

“Love, sex, relationships - they transcend the boundaries and norms, creating complexities of the social fabric,” said Fred Petrenko of EdenFantasys. “Don't put yourself and your partner at risk by getting frisky at work. After all, nothing beats a comfortable bed and a good sex toy.”

Workplace romances can be dangerous waters to tread, because nearly one in five (17 percent) of workplace romances have actually cost somebody their job.

Dating usually ends in a breakup, and when you date and breakup with somebody at work, you still have to see them every day.

It’s very common, as it turns out. One in four Americans have dated and ended things with a coworker causing it to be awkward around the office.

In fact, 60 percent of all work relationships have ended in a breakup within 12 months.

It’s not all bad, however. The workplace has the ability to be a better matchmaker than Tinder, as one in four workplaces romances actually end in a marriage.

But they’re just as likely to end one, it turns out. An incredible 34 percent of workplace romances involve somebody who is already married or engaged to somebody else.

“For many, work is a very stressful environment and sex can be a great stress relief,” continued Petrenko. “While the idea of having sex at work is an enticing one, we at EdenFantasys recommend spicing things up with a good sex toy instead. There are many varieties of small and discreet products for such purposes. Don’t complicate your workplace --  keep it safe for your professional growth."
